A computer virus is a software program that is written to install, propagate, and cause damage to computer files and data without the knowledge or permission of the user. It works because it is sent by an outside source and then opened on your computer allowing the virus to install itself on the computer. Once it is open, then it follows the instructions in the program and begins its destructive nature. In your warm up compare how a computer virus is spread to how a biological virus is spread.
